Thought I would share some selfies ...

This is Mikayla & I ...

 It was Mr. Allen and Mikayla's idea to do a breeding project in Ag class at East High.  Mikayla is a Junior at East and the Treasurer for Frontier FFA.   Mikayla and Mr. Allen are working on details to allow you to come visit me once my babies come.  Watch this blog for more details.

This is Mr. Allen (and one of my biggest fans, Regan, is daughter) ...

He is the brains behind this project.  He is the East High Ag teacher and the Advisor for Frontier FFA.  He came up with the idea for the live video feed so everyone can see what is happening in my pen.  You can follow me live by clicking on the link at the top right of this page.

This is ME...

I am a one year old Yorkshire Swine.  I love to play ball and lay around.  My favorite things are jelly beans and rainbow twizzlers.  My due date is February 5th.

Pinky Jane's Pregnancy 2014

Hello, My name is Pinky Jane ... This is a little story about my life as a breeding swine.

My owner Mikayla, purchased me at a livestock auction in Colorado April 2013. From there I went to live with her. I was so excited to get to my new barn and join my new family. The big mud hole out back of the barn is my favorite part about living with Mikayla.

Mikayla worked with me all summer so I would be prepared for the Laramie County Fair. The fair was very exciting ... I got to move to a new barn at the Laramie County Fair grounds. I was able to meet tons of new people who came out to visit us at the fair.

Then it was show time ... everything I worked hard for was about to be tested. That is me & Mikayla in the picture below. Whew, that was a lot of work and one long day!

 

After fair I made the trailer ride back home to my barn and that amazing mud hole. Here is where I stayed until September 2013 when I got to move to East High School Ag Shop.

The Ag Shop is a nice place and plenty of people see me every day. I wasn't too sure about all the bell ringing but I soon adjusted to all the noise and my new life at East.
